#75sustainable

We like the idea of the #75hardchallenge.

We like idea of no cheat days; we like the mental toughness required to power through on certain days; we like the need for good planning to ensure you tick all the boxes.

We’re not huge fans, though, of the #75hard rules — they seem arbitrary at best. We’re in the business of creating opportunities for people to sustain new lifestyle habits, so we came up with our own version of 75 days of #nodaysoff.

For 75 sustained, consecutive days,

  1. Drink X ounces of water, where X = your (ideal) bodyweight in kilograms.

  2. Move for 60 minutes. This can be consecutive or partitioned. If you take a 60-minute CrossFit class, that counts. 2 X 30 minute walks a day counts as well. A yoga class (online!). A 30 minute jog + 30 minutes of stretching.

  3. Eat every meal or snack purposely, with the intention of it fueling your body. You can count macros, calories, or nothing. But you cannot eat “junk.”

  4. 15 minutes to build a productive habit of your choosing. 15 minutes is a “ballpark” — if the habit is less than a 15 minute task (like making your bed every day), that works, too.

  5. Replace alcohol. In the landscape of fitness, alcohol works against any efforts to improve you health.

Anyone can work through this challenge on their own, but we invite you to begin with us as supportive community on Monday, May 17. If you’d like to sign up to join us, email Madeline@crossfityork.com to be added to the list. There is no cost — the investment is in YOURSELF.
